Storyline — Death in Venice (Morte a Venezia) (1971)

Composer Gustav von Aschenbach travels to Venice for health reasons. There, he becomes obsessed with the stunning beauty of an adolescent Polish boy named Tadzio who is staying with his family at the same Grand Hôtel des Bains on the Lido as is Aschenbach.

This movie had 7 small files, including "Visconti's Venice." No amount of tweaking and fussing could make either of the subtitle files (a and an .idx) work in VLC. I found a good subtitle file, (after DLing several supposed to be English, which weren't) & converted it to and edited it with this sweet little online subtitle adjuster: http://submerge.delarue-berlin.de/ The only "issue" is that subtitles display thruout the movie, even when the speakers' language is English, which I found useful at
