- Straight home. - I'm sorry.
- I'm gonna send you home. - but getting a seat doesn't
Mean they'll keep it... As their mentor may decide to
Switch them out. Who are you going to switch out?
Only the four in the seats at the end make it to the live
Shows. Last night the first to perform
Were kelly's over 25s. ? we will

Her category, and she put 'em all in seats.

There's so much talent in the girls' category.
I'm having such a hard time.

I'm loving this discomfort...
'cause I know what's coming.
well put. Next up, fighting for a spot
In demi's final four, from holbrook, new york, please
welcome simone Torres.
my name is simone torres.
I'm 19 years old.
I'm from long island, new york,
And a student at berklee college
Of music.
I've always been pretty nerdy and awkward, and I may not be as
Glamorous as some of the other girls in the competition, but
I love to perform, and that's where I really come into my own.
When I was nine, I started singing with my dad at weddings,
Restaurants, and it's hard to believe in yourself when you are
Singing at restaurants and only one person is listening to you,
So you start to doubt yourself and your ability, but this
Competition has really showed me that I do have something.
? mustang sally ? yeah
? why don't you be ? the artist
bravo! ? and make me out of clay?
oh! ? why don't you be
don't cry. ? the writer and decide
I've been performing at weddings, restaurants, and clubs
For ten years.
And now it's time for me to see
If I have what it takes to
Perform in front of america.
all right, guys, let's have
Some fun.
come on, simone!
? I was born by the river
? in ? in a little tent
? and, oh, just like a river
? I've been running ? running ever since
Put your hands together! Come on!
? it's been a long ? long time coming
? but a change is gonna come ? it's been a long
? long time coming ? but a change is gonna come
? ooh ? then I go to my brother
? and I say, brother ? help me please
? been a long ? long time coming
? it's been a ? been a long time coming
? but a change is gonna ? come
simone torres, I really like
It. I related to you because I
Started working when I was little.
Just the fact that you go and knock every door for the passion
Of music with your father, just, I relate to you.
simone, I wish I could have sat down with you a week ago,
And I wish I could have heard that song, because I would have
Said, "you're not doing that." the arrangement of the song was
A joke.
It was so bad, and it was so karaoke, and so sort of
Wedding-y. you still sang it, mama.
Don't get it twisted. You still sang the hell out of
The song. I feel torn, because I agree,
The song choice wasn't great. Yes, you have an incredible
Voice, but I don't know if I'm seeing a star.
oh, come on.
That's wrong, that's wrong. all right, demi.
All four seats are filled, and if you want to see simone go to
The live rounds, someone is having to go home, so what is
Your decision?
?
Is simone in or out? come on, demi.
simone...
? take a seat.
congratulations, simone.
Now, of course, uh, this
Means we have our very first
Switch of the night.
Demi, one of these four girls
Must now be switched out of her
Seat and out of the show.
Is it bree randall...
Khaya cohen...
Jamie pineda...
Or ashly williams?
Demi, who are you switching out?
I think my decision is going to have to be...
Bree randall.
congratulations. Take a seat.
?
One more time for bree randall, everyone.
Now, remember, whoer is in
Those four seats, once all the
Girls have sung, will be moving
On to the live shows.
Find out who's in, who's out,
And who's switched right after
The break.
- You just sang your face off. - I disagree.
It feels like everything you did was chosen by your mother.
I know I can do this! oh, my god, I really don't
Know what to do right now. demi, you need to listen to
Me! I'm sending you home.
welcome back to the x factor and the four-chair challenge.
Tonight, it's demi and the
Girls.
All four seats are filled, and
Five girls still left to perform.
No one is safe until all ten acts have sung.
Only the girls sitting in those four seats at the end of the
Show will stay in the competition.
Hoping for a place in demi's final four, here is 15-year-old
Danielle Geimer
? don't get me wrong
My name's Danielle Geimer.
I'm 15 years old, I'm in 11th
Grade, and I'm from northridge,
California.
I'm pretty shy and soft-spoken. My education is really important
To me. I would love to become a
Neurosurgeon, but that's my backup plan.
? of many a poor boy I definitely change when I'm
Onstage. I just feel like I can be
Myself. wow!
- I'm really impressed. - Danielle Geimer.
when they called my name, I was just so shocked, I didn't
Even know what to say. This is definitely the biggest
Performance of my life. I'm just the girl who sits
Alone, reading a book. People just walk by, tripping
Over my feet, and they're like, what did I trip over?
And now, they're gonna be like, oh, I tripped over a star.
? don't get me wrong
?
? georgia ? georgia
? the whole day through ? just an old sweet song
? keeps georgia ? on my mind
? other arms
whoo!
? other arms ? reach out to me
? other eyes ? smile tenderly
? still in peaceful dreams ? I see
? the road leads back to you ? oh, georgia
? oh, georgia
? no peace ? no peace I find
? oh, no, I find ? just this old sweet song
? keeps ? georgia
? on my mind ? just an old, sweet song
? keeps georgia ? on my mind
so...
Danielle, you just sang your face off, mama.
Demi, you girl, come on, now.
she need a seat. Somebody got to get up, honey.
life is always about timing, and you've come around at a time
Where you've got so many over-confident pop stars, and
You fly in the face of that. You're very humble, you're very
Shy...
Uh, and I hope you never change. I don't think you will.
danielle, I am absolutely
Blown away. I think you're so talented,
You're so beautiful, and you're right.
When they trip on you, they're already tripping on a star.
