Self defence skills were developed by men in ancient times

in order to save himself and his family from the enemies.

The art of kicking, wrestling, boxing, Kalaripayattu, Silambam,

swordsmanship, staffplay and many such defence skills existed.

Our forefathers have been protecting us and our culture using these.

But as time flied and changed, these art forms were long forgotten.

The martial art forms that exist in the modern world

are just another version or style of

our traditional self defence skills.

Crimes against girl children

and young women have increased to a level beyond our imagination.

In fact, it is so bad that we

cannot even trust our neighbors.

In the current circumstances, we can't even walk around freely.

Despite asking our kids to remain at home and play video games

instead of asking to play outside, we still fear for their safety.

Times when we taught our kids good and bad habits are gone.

Now, we have to teach them good and bad touch instead.
