Please raise your right hand and repeat after me:

I Donald John trump do solemnly swear

that I will faithfully execute that I will faithfully execute

the office of president of the United States

and will, to the best of my ability and will, to the best of my ability

preserve, protect and defend preserve, protect and defend

the constitution of the united states.

So help me god. So help me god.

Congratulations, mr president.

We demand a vote! We demand a vote! We demand a vote!

We demand a vote!

I'm going to tell you that the laws are skewed against independents

whether it's voting, or the entire electoral process.

You have to work extra hard if you're an independent.

It's hard to register to vote, it's hard to get an absentee ballot.

There's no early voting in New York, there's no voting by mail.

If you want to vote in New York, you really have to want to

and even if you want to vote, sometimes they won't let you vote.

People aren't talking about the fact that we had to reregister by October.

So many people were told in march that they couldn’t reregister.

They were independents. They wanted to reregister, they wanted to fall in line

and register to be a democrat so they could vote for Bernie Sanders

and they were told: "You should have done it six months ago?!"

We're here for one reason and one reason only: The denial of 3.2 million

new yorkers from voting in the most important election in a generation.

And we're here to demand that New York open up the primaries

and let all voters vote.

Yeeeeaah! Let all voters vote!

Let all voters vote! Let all voters vote!

Ok are you guys ready?

- I'm ready. - Cool!

So actually I have already downloaded it - great!

And so now I guess that

we would have to do specifics here? This is the old list.

Ok, cool.

Did you already synch it?

Yeah I did.

So then we just go to download a new list.

Good.

- It's these two buildings, that we're... - Yeah.

- Everything is in two buildings. - Right.

- Because one has 46 and one has 49. - Yeah.

- Yeah - ok. - Ok. - Good, good.

Let me just see what we have.

We've got the door one - oh the door things?

And the other one

oh the good one. Okay.

It's a unique place and it maintains it's old you know. People who lived

here, very Italian places. You know, that great veniero's is down there.

Oh right.

Oh my god - right!

That was a problem. I want some nice Italian pastries.

- Yeah. - Go right there.

You know honestly, one of the things that's so on my mind

and I try to feel ok but it's interrupting my sleep.

What?

That the clock is ticking, and that we have

a very limited amount of time between now and the primary.

- Do you know where Columbia street is? - No idea.

No idea? Columbia street?

- Columbia street? - Yes!

Columbia street!

Over there

that way and it 'll be, it's like this way?

Uno, dos.

- Un, dos, tres! - Dos, dos! Dos. Gracias, gracias!

Hey we're not far away.

But that means it should be on this side and it might be that thingy,

- and that's not public housing. - Well cause they're odd numbers

so we would be on this side, right?

Except sometimes in these whole things they might have odd and even

no these are all even here.

Even if it's part of a whole complex where it's...

I don't know so far all the numbers have been even.

Yeah, we'll find out.

Would you see, I have to press the doorbells?

Ok so this is eighty-five.

Three didn't respond - ok. Let's try four.

No entry, forget. Next?

Twenty.

Maybe I'm not even ringing a bell, it just 20, do I hit something here?

What do you think?

Oh it's... I'm impressed Toby.

Listen once in a while I do something smart. Ok so that's

number 20

- let's see if anyone answers. - That's right, Jessica.

That's the intercom system that he was talking about.

Oh ok we're going in to 20, thank you.

We're from the Bernie Sanders campaign - right - for the presidential

election - primary on Tuesday. So he is a registered democrat.

Spanish tbc

- yeah - you're registered too? - Yeah right, are you going to vote?

Yeah...

- And who are you going to vote for? - Um. - Ok, so here take this

- and you can read more about Bernie. - Just read about him. - Ok.

He's a good man. He's a good man for latinos. Promise you.

Ok. - Ok, thank you.

Ok, take care - ok bye bye, bye.

Ok.

Make sure they get out and vote. They're either strong Bernie

supporters or they're leaning Bernie. And like I said if they are undecided

and they're receptive to your conversation, then you can have a

conversation but don't waste too much time. We're just gonna make sure that

- they try and vote. - Ok. - All right?

We just want to try and spread it in a larger area, cause we have,

I see so many people with buttons in Harlem but I think there are less

buttons on the upper West Side, like so I want us to, you know

- I hear you. Yeah, yeah. - Are you sure...

- I tend to agree with you on that. - Are you sure that we're gonna

give all these stickers out in like two days?

It's not exactly democracy if you don't have half of the country voting.

The parties shouldn't be deciding who, what the voting rules are

or who gets to vote. So you can't, so, and that's what's happening now.

Where you have the Democratic party saying:

"Independents aren’t allowed to vote for us."

So it should be just standard rules where everyone gets to vote.

Where do you live?

Upper West Side.

I feel like I just need to hang out with you.

I am an activist in many forms. I'm an animal rights activist,

environmentalist. I drive my parents kinda crazy.

How did you get involved?

Um, I looked up his positions and I got super excited,

and the more I read, the more excited I got. How he wanted

economic equality and how he wanted rights for women. He fought

in the civil rights movement and how he wanted rights for veterans.

And like these lists of things that just made so much sense to me.

For me it's not just about democrat, republican, I wanna see someone

that's really honest for me to actually care about them.

What's important to me, is not to just to say: “Oh yes, of course.

This person is... we decided we like this person. We decided we

like Obama, now we're gonna ignore all his faults and we're not going to,

he's our guy now." I think that the most important thing for me is

recognizing that I have reservations about Bernie and yet saying he's

our best option. But I think as long as we criticize, when we stop

criticizing him we lose. So that's why I'm you know,

but I want to be critical of everyone.

This is a campaign that is on the move.

This is a campaign that a year ago was considered

a fringe candidacy, 70 points behind secretary Clinton.

Well they don’t consider us fringe anymore.

This is a campaign that has won 8 of the last 9 caucuses and primaries,

and with your help on Tuesday we're gonna win right here in New York state.

This is a campaign which will defeat Donald Trump.

We have received 7 million individual campaign contributions

anybody here know what the average contribution is?

27 dollars!

That's right, 27 dollars!

How does it happen that we have a proliferation of millionaires

and billionaires and we have the highest rate of childhood

poverty of any major country on earth.

This is not what the status quo should be,

we are gonna change the status quo.

What this campaign has taught me is that we win caucuses and primaries

when the voter turnout is high, we lose them when the voter turnout is low.

Let's have a record-breaking turnout on Tuesday.

New York state, help lead this country into the political revolution.

Thank you all

it's gonna be interesting - I know cause if he wins this

oh my god.

He impacts, it impacts every other primary.

Exactly.

- Pennsylvania will go to Bernie. - Exactly.

Connecticut will go to Bernie - California

New Jersey will go to Bernie. Maryland can go to Bernie

and then that's it, we're on our way cause California will be it.

Yeah.

He was behind in the polls by, I heard it today ,10% to 12%

ok.

All right - but that's, remember there's two ways.

There's the African American community. The latino community is already growing.

And here's the other thing: The people who don't usually vote,

come out to vote. Because there are people who just are part of

the Democratic party but don’t vote.

There are a lot of people who can't vote.

There's, no! I, we know the "can't" we can't deal with the "can't" now!

But there are, typically there's 5 million democrats who can vote.

Typically in a primary, we get 1.2, 1.4. There's 3.6 million democrats

who never vote. If there's 25% of the democrats come out.

But I believe this time, I mean look at...

I know. - Look!

There will be more people, I guarantee more people voting

- in this primary than ever before. - And everyone going and telling

- five people - right. - You know telling.

There was something different in the diversity particularly

African American - absolutely. It's a first time.

And I'm not sure what it means, or what it will mean on Tuesday.

Well this is New York, - I know - it's gonna be very very hard.

I'm not saying he's winning New York I'm giving the possibilities.

I don't think I'm very - I know.

- You know, I'm giving the ways it can be. - Right.

It's just there's an energy for Bernie that's different.

- Obama did not have this energy folks. - Right - we had, there was hope.

But this is like, - this is: We want a revolution and we want it now.

Now!

I don't really like the way this sounds. Yo, you have like tape or

anything I could use to muff this? Yeah. - His business at this point.

Bernie on the other hand everything I've seen about him is good.

I honestly haven’t seen like much negativity.

I just have a problem
