Heading to town right now to go ahead

and meet up with Mark.

After an urgent supply run,

Dustin hurt has one last stop

before returning to his remote mining claim.

Mark's the guy to go to if you want to find out

what some gold is worth.

We have a pretty big nugget,

and I'd like to see what he thinks it's worth.

We're on borrowed money right now,

so there's a lot of payback happening.

How you doing, bud?

Hey, Mark. What's going on?

- Nice seeing you again. - Yeah.

So this is the one thing that I wanted to ask you about.

We had never seen anything like this before.

Holy.

No way.

My aching ass.

That is great.

I wonder if that's why they call it nugget creak.

I'm just saying.

That is 5.8 Troy ounces right there.

Wow. That is a beautiful chunk of gold.

My gosh.

You know, that's kind of

an expensive piece of gold there, Dustin.

What would you sell that one for?

It's got a sort of a collector's value.

Nobody's going to melt that down.

I mean, they're going to put it in

their safety deposit box,

or put it in a case, in their house there.

That's the sound we love to hear.

Clunk.

You could pound nails with that thing.

I mean, you could go 60, $60,000 or $70,000.

Damn, that's a lot, man.

You think I can get that much?

It's got enough character to it.

It's a solid chunk of gold.

Yeah, shoot for that to begin with,

because that's the largest nugget I've ever heard of

that's out in the whole porcupine area.

It's a pretty unique chunk of gold.

Don't get caught on the street of Chicago with that.

Ooh.

Nobody knows I'm holding it, and if you did,

I carry a gun anyway.

There you go.

Well, 70 gs would get me through a bunch of stuff.

We need to find more of these.

Yeah, it would make for a hell of a season.

All right, man. Appreciate it.

Take care, buddy.

$70,000 is not going to be enough.

If we're going to do this again, I have to find more.

It's not something I want to do.

It's something I have to do.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

- Come up, come up, come up! - Open up your air vent.

Open your vent. Open your vent.

God dang it.

God dang, turn that off.

I don't know if one inch is enough.

We're only giving the diver half hot water.

I'm freezing my ass off.

This is a very risky idea.

Come on, baby.

Holy cow. Look how big it is.

That's a beautiful sight.

There's a ton of gold down there.

God dang.

I need this Boulder out of here.

I need to see what's on the bottom today.

We're trying everything, man.

We're trying everything.

Three, two, one!

Yeah.

Pretty little piece of gold.

Definitely chunky.

Lights up.

In just a few weeks, the harsh Alaskan winter

will descend on nugget creek,

locking out Dustin and his crew from their claim.

You don't like to run in the cold.

Are we ready?

The treacherous tsirku river is their only way to gold.

So Dustin's air boat is the lifeblood of their operation.

This thing's loose, man.

- Last week... - Hold on. - You mother!

Disaster struck when they crashed both their air boats.

Everybody almost nearly died.

Yo, get a couple clicks.

She's back, baby.

But a bush rescue and repair got them back in business.

Yeah!

Throttle's stuck.

Holy!

I don't know what to do here.

It's full throttle. It got stuck.

Will you save me, Jesus?

Stuck under the front seat.

Break that mother or we're in trouble.

I've got it more than half... I've got it.

Perfect.

Thank you for getting that pedal unstuck.

Holy!

That was a nightmare.

That could have been bad, right?

Holy man.

I see what you guys are doing.

And the pedal was all the way down.

Why isn't it coming up?

I just couldn't get the pedal to come off the floor.

It was bad, bad.

You have to put pedal to the metal all the way down.

And Wes sits back here.

And look what happened, see?

Pedal's still stuck. Pedal's stuck.

And Paul was trying to get this pedal up. Look at this.

Look, see? You can't.

Unless the seat comes up.

It's not like we can call a frickin',

the auto club, or anything.

All right, let's get to work, yo.

Paul went down last.

And we're getting a little desperate

because we're falling behind right now.

It's getting cold.

So we're trying to beat the snow

is what we're trying to do.

Dustin's staking his season on getting to the gold

beneath the large 50-ton Boulder

that nearly killed them last season.

This is the rematch.

And we have to win or else we're done for, y'all.

But during their last dive,

the crew discovered a new problem.

This virgin ground, it's like trying to dig through concrete.

A giant Boulder encased in ultra-dense hard pack.

That's some of the hardest dredging I've ever done.

This sucks.

Gold blaster to the rescue.

To bust through the hard pack,

Dustin's brought in equipment that belonged

to his late father, Fred hurt.

Fred's gold blaster, it's a big pressure washer.

Paul kind of got to a point where

the regular pressure washer that we have

just isn't working well enough.

All right, let's go.

Dustin hopes Fred's gold blaster,

that delivers an extra thousand pounds of blasting power,

could be the key to unlocking the ancient gold.

Be slow, be slow.

Slow, slow, slow. Slow is fast.

Where do you need this thing at?

A little bit more.

Yeah.

First thing, we need to get Carlos in the water now.

Let's go change out filters if we have to.

Let's get the boat in the water.

All that. Let's get it going.

That right now, my main objective is that Boulder

has to come out today, has to come out.

We dropped days behind schedule.

I believe that Boulder is in the line

of our gold frickin' streak.

The gold blaster is a gift from Fred,

and this is going to speed up everything.

There's no excuse that we can't cut that big Boulder loose

and drag it out, but if it doesn't,

then we'll crack it.

If we can't crack it,

we'll chip it apart with a little hammer.

It doesn't matter. We'll get this rock up.

Four feet below the surface,

the crew has hit a monster Boulder

the size of a refrigerator,

locked in place by ultra dense hard pack.

If they can clear mother nature's grip on it,

they could open a vault holding massive nuggets.

There's three ounces of gold

per square foot on the bedrock.

That's a lot of gold

that's just sitting there waiting for us.

It's imperative that we get this large Boulder out.

We get it out, we're getting closer to the gold.

Keep the water as clean as possible

so you can see as much as you can.

I'm running out of time.

I need this Boulder out of here,

and I need to see what's on the bottom.

I'm panicking a little bit.

- I got you, man. I got you. - I'm starting to freak out.

All right, guys, let's go get this Boulder out.

How's it looking down there, man?

This Boulder's locked in.

We got a long day, dude.
